Ranking videos - the "Top 5" and "Top 10" countdown format you see everywhere on YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Reels - follow a simple, repeatable structure: download some clips, trim each to its best moment, stamp a rank number and keyword on it, order them as a countdown, and merge with a title and a hook. The format is simple. Doing it by hand, clip after clip, is not.

Shortszilla exists to remove the repetitive part. Paste your clip links, pick a title, and the tool handles the download, trim, rank overlays, countdown ordering, and final merge - so you can focus on picking good clips instead of fighting with an editor.

What Shortszilla does

• Downloads clips from a pasted link and lets you trim the exact moment worth ranking

Why it's free

Shortszilla runs on free-tier cloud compute rather than a subscription model. That keeps the tool free to use, with the trade-off that videos take a little longer to render than a paid service might. We think that's a fair trade for a tool anyone can pick up without a credit card.
